Beelzebub

I usually watch slice of life, romance or drama animes, but Beelzebub really got me with it's hilarious story and characters.  Actually, this was my first comedy series, but I don't regret any second that I spent to watch Beelzebub. The jokes, the plot, the plot twists are very good.

The Beelzebub is a 60 episodes long anime series produced by Pierrot Plus. The manga is written and drawn by Ryuhei Tamura. It was published in 2008 as a one-shot. This is obviously a comedy, no doubts, but you can find so much action and a very little dose of love between each characters.

In the first few scenes we can see a short introduction about our main character Oga Tatsumi. The Ishiyama High School is not a casual school. The students are more like little criminals than friendly and diligent students. There is a hierarchy where you start at the bottom and if you are not willing to fight for your honor and for respect, you can even die. 

Oga Tatsumi is a first year student in his school. He is a very aggressive person, but as the time goes and he lives together with Baby Beel, he becomes a very lovely young man with so much feelings related to his little baby.

I think this anime has a meaning behind every joke and funny moment. The character developing is clearly visible. We can be eyewitnesses of a beautiful happening, how two people grow into one big thing. A little devil baby and a rogue teenager can create an unbelievable power. With it's help, they are able to kill the strongest demons of the other world.

The animation and the visual effects are well designed. I can't mention any negative points about it. The sound effects are well matched with each scenes. For example, when there is an epic fight scene, Oga and Baby Beel come out from the black smoke while a heavy metal song is going in the background is insanely good.

My personal opinion is simple. If you have bad days I recommend this anime for you without any question. This is a must watch series for every person. Mostly because it is extremely funny. With the epic fight scenes, and some cute moments it is a really cool anime. Personally I give it 8/10 stars.
